Asian-Inspired Vinaigrette

Asian cuisine is very diverse et enriched by many different cultures. Our chef lived for many years in Asia and has always been inspired by this type of cuisine. We challenged him to concoct for us the perfect Asian-inspired salad dressing that would please everyone, but also surprise with its uniqueness. He rose up to the challenge and brought us this sweet and sour treat.

The secret of his recipe relies entirely on our Organic Blood Orange and Cinnamon Apple Cider Vinegar. This product brings the perfect level of acidity along with the strong aromas of blood oranges and cinnamon. A delightful mix, if you ask us. 

You can serve this salad dressing with an Asian noodle salad covered in bean sprouts and cashews. Don’t hesitate to try this salad dressing as a marinade for chicken, duck or tofu. If you want a thicker, creamier, final product, add tahini (sesame butter) or some tomato paste to the recipe. 

Ingredients

3 tbsp (45 mL) organic virgin sesame oil Maison Orphée
3/4 cup (190 mL)organic virgin sunflower oil Maison Orphée
2 tbsp (30 mL)toasted sesame oil Maison Orphée
3 tbsp (45 mL) tamari sauce
1/4 cup (65 mL) organic blood orange and cinnamon cider vinegar Maison Orphée
3 tbsp (45 mL) maple syrup
1/4 cup (65 mL) organic Dijon mustard Maison Orphée
2 tbsp (30 mL) orange juice
4 turns ground black pepper
1 tbsp (15 mL) toasted sesame seeds

Preparation

Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix well.

Mix again before each use.
