Cooking time: 10-15 minutes

Yield: 1-2 portions

 

As you might expect, tortizza is a cross between "tortilla" and "pizza". Simple and effective, it's proof that you don't always need a thick crust to make a delicious pizza!

We present you this version with sausage meat instead of the classic pepperoni. It's up to you to choose your favourite, whether it's made from animal or plant-based proteins!

 

INGREDIENTS 

  • 2 flour tortillas, medium size
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) pizza sauce
  • 250 ml (1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) artichoke hearts
  • The meat of 2 sausages, chopped
  • A few leaves of fresh basil
  • A drizzle of  Maison Orphée'sspicy olive oil

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Place one tortilla on a baking sheet. Spread half of the cheese over the tortilla and cover it with the second one.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce over the top tortilla. Top with the remaining cheese, artichoke hearts and sausage meat.
  4. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
  5. Add the basil leaves and drizzle with spicy olive oil, to taste. Serve hot.
