With only a few ingredients and preparation steps, ElodiesFood's Teriyaki Chickpea recipe is delicious and versatile. You can add it to salads, poké bowls, rice, quinoa and more! The secret to that little touch of bold, exotic flavor? Our Toasted sesame oil!

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of toasted sesame oil Maison Orphée + a drizzle to finish serving
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sriracha
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 clove of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, add all ingredients (except chickpeas) and mix well.
  2. Add the sauce to a pan and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Add the chickpeas and simmer over low heat until the sauce sticks.
  4. Enjoy!
