Dijonnaise is a classic condiment that requires a bit of work. But did you know that you can create a similar recipe easily and quickly with mayonnaise and Dijon mustard? It is delicious with grilled meats, Chinese fondues, burgers, salads and fries.

We concocted 3 recipes enhanced with Dijonnaise that will add some kick to your meal!  

 

 

Caramelized onions Dijonnaise 

Preparation time: 20 minutes

INGREDIENTS 

PREPARATION

    1. In a pan, over medium heat, add the olive oil. Add the onions and season generously with salt. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Reduce the heat to low and cover. Cook for 10-15 minutes over low heat, stirring a few times, until the onions are caramelized. The onions should have reduced so that only 2-3 Tablespoon remain.
    2. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, the dijon mustard and the caramelized onions. 

     

     

    Dijonnaise with herbs 

    Preparation time: 5 minutes

    INGREDIENTS 

    • 60 mL (1/4 cup) Maison Orphée's Fresh Mayonnaise 
    • 15 mL (1 tbsp) Maison Orphée's Dijon mustard
    • The juice of a quarter lemon
    • A bouqet of finely chopped fresh herbs (dill, parsley, chives, basil, etc.)

    PREPARATION

      1. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, the dijon mustard, the herbs and the lemon juice.

       

       

       

      Dijonnaise with honey 

      Preparation time: 5 minutes

      INGREDIENTS

        1. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, the dijon mustard and the honey.
